GIBBSBORO, N.J. - Leaders of a New Jersey Catholic Church are asking for the return of a rare religious statue they say was stolen from the alter of their chapel last week.Monsignor Louis Marucci, the pastor of St.

Andrew the Apostle in Camden County, said the church's Our Lady of Fatima statue was swiped by a man around 4 p.m. Tuesday. The Gibbsboro Police Department confirmed to they are searching for a man captured on surveillance video sneaking into the church and taking the meaningful statue.

The unknown suspect is seen on video emerging from the woods and peering into the church through a window. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESHe then enters the chapel and makes sure the coast is clear before taking the 3.5 foot statue and walking out a side door.

Monsignor Marucci believes the thief has been to the church before and could be a local. "They don’t exit the door they came in so obviously they knew parish and church," Marucci said. "It's incomprehensible that someone would actually take it out of its place of enthronement." St.

COLOMBO (News 1st) – Earnings from the merchandise exports increased by 10.24 % y-o-y to US$ 1,213.7 Mn in August 2022 as per the data released by the Sri Lanka Customs. According to the Export Development Board, this was mainly due to the increase in earnings from export of Apparel and Textiles.Major product sectors such as Apparel and Textiles, Tea, Rubber based products, Electrical and Electronic components, Spices and Concentrates Diamonds, Gems and Jewellery, Food and Beverages, Seafood and Ornamental fish recorded increased exports in August 2022.Strong Export Growth recorded for top 10 export markets in the period of January to August 2022. The single largest export destination of United States of America recorded over US$ 2 billion worth of exports in the period of January to August 2022 – a significant year on year increase of 21.19 % in comparison to US$ 1.9 billion recorded in 2021.Exports to United Kingdom as the second largest trading partner recorded an increase of 12.91 % to US$ 682.56 Mn during the period of January to August 2022 compared with the corresponding period of previous year.

Police: Man dies after being found walking in Ogontz with gunshot wound to the neck

PHILADELPHIA - A man has died after he was shot in the neck in Philadelphia, authorities say. According to police, officers responded to Ogontz and Stenton Avenues just before 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Officials say responding officers found a man walking in the area bleeding heavily from a gunshot wound to his neck. Witnesses told authorities that the man got out of a Buick Sedan traveling northbound on Ogontz Avenue that stopped at the intersection, and Good Samaritans rushed to try and assist him, according to Chief Inspector Scott Small. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESPolice transported the man to Einstein Medical Center, where he was placed in critical condition and underwent surgery, Small says. Authorities say he did not survive and later died. According to Small, the Buick Sedan is still parked at the crime scene and there is blood in the driver's seat. Investigators say they are not sure if the man was driving the vehicle or driven to the location, but authorities do not believe the shooting happened in the area.

Man in custody, rare statue recovered, after police say it was stolen from Camden County church

GIBBSBORO, N.J. - Police in New Jersey have recovered a rare religious statue and apprehended a suspect accused of stealing it from a local church. Monsignor Louis Marucci, the pastor of St. Andrew the Apostle in Camden County, said the church's Our Lady of Fatima statue was swiped from the altar by a man around 4 p.m.
