An Assistant Professor of Virology at Trinity College Dublin has warned that if we are too cautious in re-introducing measures to reduce transmission of Covid-19, cases will begin to creep up again.
Speaking on RTÉ's Morning Ireland, Dr Kim Roberts said pubs and nightclubs are risky environments and added that re-opening pubs that do not serve food and nightclubs is, she said, a very risky decision.
Dr Roberts said it is positive to see that there are not increased cases as a result of travel but it is worrying to see a rise in community transmission.
