ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - A fundraising auction that would have granted someone the opportunity to press the button that will bring down one of President Donald Trump's former Atlantic City casinos has been scrapped.The demolition of the former Trump Plaza casino recently became a fundraiser to benefit the Boy's & Girls Club of Atlantic City.
Mayor Marty Small had hoped the fundraiser would raise more than $1 million.Bodnars Auction announced the cancellation on their website and explained it was canceled after they received a cease and desist from IEP AC Plaza LLC, had previously said they were not on board with the auction, citing safety issues.
