RIO GRANDE CITY, Texas - A 26-year-old woman has been charged with murder in Texas after authorities said she caused "the death of an individual by self-induced abortion," in a state that has the most restrictive abortion laws in the U.S.It’s unclear whether Lizelle Herrera is accused of having an abortion or whether she helped someone else get an abortion.Herrera was arrested Thursday and remained jailed Saturday on a $500,000 bond in the Starr County jail in Rio Grande City, on the U.S.-Mexico border, sheriff's Maj. COWETA COUNTY, Ga. - Three people are dead in a robbery at a Coweta County gun range.Grantville police confirmed someone shot and killed the gun range's owner, as well as his wife and their grandson, during a robbery that happened between 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.

RIPON, Calif. - Two women who were reported missing over the weekend were found dead Tuesday inside a car submerged in the Stanislaus River.The two women, Alyssa Ros, 23, of Long Beach and Xylona Gama, 22, of Stockton, were last seen at a wedding Sunday night at Spring Creek Country Club. According to the Ripon Police Department, a country club employee noticed a car submerged in the river, near the southeastern part of the golf course. Law enforcement quickly matched the vehicle to that of the missing person’s report and identified the two women. It is unknown how the women ended up in the river; police say at this time there is no evidence of criminal activity or foul play.Ripon police are working with the medical examiner to determine the exact cause of death. The investigation is ongoing.

CAPE MAY COUNTY, N.J. - A 62-year-old Millville, New Jersey man has been arrested in connection with a cold case from Wildwood 32-years ago.Cape May County officials announced the arrest of Jerry Rosado, Friday, and that he is charged with the sexual assault of Susan Negersmith, in a case stemming from 1990.Negersmaith, from Carmel, New York, was found partially clothed on May 27, 1990, outside a storage area near a Wildwood restaurant. PHILADELPHIA - Authorities say a man was injured in a broad daylight shooting Friday afternoon outside the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Officer were called to the area of 12th and Vine streets around 5 p.m for reports of a shooting. Philadelphia Police Captain John Walker told reporters that officers found a blood trail for several blocks that lead them to a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm. The victim was taken to Jefferson University Hospital in stable condition, according to police. Walker said investigators believe the shooting happened during an argument between two men. The shooter, a Black man wearing all black clothes and a white "item" on his head, then walked to 13th Street where investigators lost sight of him.Walker told reporters that there were people around during the shooting happened.

Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced Friday that it has proposed the largest-ever fines against two passengers for alleged unruly behavior.In a release, the agency said those fines were $81,950 and $77,272, respectively.They are part of the approximately $2 million in fines it has proposed since Jan. 1, 2022.The $81,950 fine involves a passenger on a July 7, 2021, American Airlines flight from Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, to Charlotte, North Carolina.The FAA alleges that the passenger threatened to hurt the flight attendant that offered help to the passenger after she fell into the aisle.The passenger is said to have then pushed the flight attendant aside and made an attempt to open the cabin door.Two flight attendants tried to restrain the passenger, as she repeatedly hit one of them on the head. After the passenger was restrained in flex cuffs, she continued to spit at, headbutt, bite and kick the crew and other passengers. Law enforcement apprehended her upon landing in Charlotte.

PHILADELPHIA - Authorities have identified a gunman involved in Wednesday night's shootout in Frankford that injured four people, including a SEPTA Transit Officer. Police say 18-year-old Zyhiem Hartman exchanged gunfire with seven police officers from inside an apartment on the 4700 block of Leiper Street. Police initially reported that Hartman died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, but an autopsy confirmed that he was fatally shot by police. Investigators on Friday shared preliminary information on the chaotic scene that started near the Arrott Transportation Center around 7 p.m. Wednesday.According to authorities, officers from the Philadelphia Police Department responded to the 4700 block of Penn Street after hearing 8-9 gunshots.Ervis Onuzi, 28, has been identified as the SEPTA Transit Police officer who was wounded during a gun battle with a suspect on Wednesday.  (SEPTA)The gunshots stemmed from a physical altercation between the suspect and another man, police said.
