Mohawk College is now accepting applications to Ontario’s new accelerated training program for personal support workers (PSWs) to help combat the COVID-19 pandemic.The accelerated PSW training program is a tuition-free opportunity for 6,000 new students and is expected to take only six months to complete as opposed to the typical eight months.The program is part of $115 million in provincial government funding to train up to 8,200 new PSWs for high-demand jobs in the health and long-term care sectors.
