70% of India's active Covid-19 caseload contributed by 8 states, UTs

active coronavirus caseload is contributed by eight states and Union Territories, according to a statement by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Friday.The list includes Maharashtra, Kerala, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, West Bengal, and Chhattisgarh.Currently, there are 4,55,555 active infections, and the contribution of active caseload to India's total positive cases is 4.89%.

Maharashtra leads the tally with 87,014 total active Covid-19 cases. Kerala recorded 64,615 active cases, while Delhi follows with 38,734 active infections.43,082 new confirmed COVID cases were reported in the last 24 hours in the country.
