PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying wanted offenders in connection with a deadly double shooting in Kingsessing.

Police say the shooting occurred on September 3, around 3:30 a.m., on the 5100 block of Woodland Avenue. Authorities say two male suspects and the two victims were having a conversation when one of the suspects pulled out a gun and fired at the two victims. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESPolice are investigating a double shooting that killed two men Saturday morning.The suspects were in a blue-colored Dodge Charger with dark tinted windows and black wheel rims, according to police.

Police say they are also searching for persons of interest, a woman and a man, who may have witnessed something. According to police, the two suspects were caught on surveillance video interacting with the persons of interest inside of a club.

The City of Philadelphia is offering a $20,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the homicide.

PHILADELPHIA - A months-long search for a 17-year-old girl wanted for the murder of a man, and the attempted murder of another teen has come to an end, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.Jahme Barnes, 17, of Philadelphia, has been charged in connection to a deadly shooting that broke out near Grant Street and Union Alley in Pottstown on August 28, killing Dakari Rome and injuring a 17-year-old boy.Officials say they found blood stains and several shell casings inside an SUV where Barnes, both victims, co-defendant Kahseem Williams, who was arrested on September 1; and an unknown female were "hanging out" as the shooting unfolded.Messages on Williams' phone revealed a conversation between him and Rome, according to the DA's office:"Yo ask him to hold his gat (slang for gun) once he give it to you tell em he burnt (slang for cheated or deceived) we gon to go in a ride," Rome messaged Williams.Minutes later, Williams messaged Rome, "Tell em let you hold it while I drop him off up there once he do don’t give it back we go slide to citt."The injured 17-year-old reportedly told police he possessed a 9 mm Glock on the night of the murder. Officials say the teen handed the gun to Rome, who gave it Williams, who passed it onto Barnes, who then started playing with the gun and recording herself.Barnes then reportedly fired at the teen after pointing the gun at him, and asking "what else you got?"The bullet went through the teen's hand, and fatally into Rome's chest. COLOMBO (News 1st) – News has been published in certain print and social media in a misleading manner to the public stating that Wickramaratne Nandun Chinthaka alias ‘Harakkata’, a notorious drug kingpin was released by the Dubai Police on 03rd October 2022 due to the Defence Ministry’s delay in submitting the file from this country to the Dubai authorities regarding the criminal allegations levelled against him.The National Central Bureau (Sri Lanka Interpol) in Colombo which functions under purview of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) had been informed that the aforementioned individual has been arrested by the authorities of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on 19th August 2022 in response to a Red Notice alert issued by the National Central Bureau. Afterwards, the CID vide their letter number INT 281/21 dated 12th September 2022 had requested the Ministry of Defence to coordinate the extradition of aforementioned individual to Sri Lanka, around 3:00 p.m., same day.Thereafter, on 13th September 2022, in keeping with the instructions of the Secretary, Ministry of Defence, a letter prepared with regard to the above individual and related official documents were handed over to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) by the officers of the Defence Ministry’s Legal Division.Consequently, the MFA had requested instructions from the Attorney General's Department (AG) on 14th September 2022 in this regard which the Attorney General's Department responded on 26th September 2022.
