Covid vaccine appointment online due to the spelling of their surname. Registration for the jab for adults aged between 18 to 29 opened up today as NHS Scotland’s rollout of the coronavirus vaccine continues.

People within this age bracket who have not yet received their first dose of the Covid jab are eligible to fill in the online form for details of their appointment.But this has proven problematic for people currently living in Scotland with an Irish or Gaelic surname.One frustrated user said he was unable to progress with the form as his surname contained an apostrophe in the middle.The apostrophe registers as an 'invalid character' when entered on the form.
