COLOMBO (News 1st); A witness in the case filed over the Malwana Mansion admitted in court that he lied in his statement to the Police Financial Crimes Investigations Division.The case was filed under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act regarding the alleged misuse of State funds to purchase a 6 acre plot of land in Malwana, bordering the Kelani Ganga and building a luxury house and a swimming pool and maintaining a farm there.The Attorney General filed the case in the Gampaha High Court against Minister Basil Rajapaksa and Thiru Nadesan with three separate indictments.Chartered Architect Muditha Upali Jayakody who was cross examined on Thursday (14), admitted that his statements to the FCID were not true.The witness.
