BIG BAR, Calif. - State wildlife officials are investigating a mountain lion attack that left a woman's dog badly injured in Northern California. Erin Wilson, 24,  said her Belgian Malinois, Eva, is a hero for grappling with the animal."My dog is a hero and I owe her my life," Wilson wrote on a GoFundMe page. Her husband, Connor Kenny, shared photos of his wife and their pet with KTVU, adding that Eva was also taken to the vet. According to Wilson, Eva had two skull fractures, a puncture in her sinus cavity and swelling around her left eye. The dog's injuries stemmed from Monday at 3 p.m.

ATLANTA - The United States have hit a painful milestone for gas prices this week as drivers across the country struggle with paying more at the pump.Tuesday, the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gas has now risen above $4 a gallon in all 50 states. DOVER, Del. - A traffic stop turned drug search has taken yet another turn amid accusations of racial profiling.Delaware State University, a historically black college, will file a formal civil rights complaint against the Liberty County Sheriff's Department after the lacrosse team was stopped in Georgia, according to Tony Allen, the university's president.Allen says the deputies performed a "constitutionally dubious stop and search" of the lacrosse team and their bus as they drove home on April 20.The team was pulled over in Liberty County for an alleged minor traffic violation. Deputies then boarded the bus to announces they would be conducting a search."If there is something in there that is questionable, please tell me now because if we find it, guess what? We’re not going to be able to help you," one deputy said.Allen claims the stop and search was a violation of rights for every passenger on the bus, as well as the driver."Our first and most immediate concern was our students and coaches mental and physical well-being," he said.Allen says he has been in contact with Liberty County's sheriff, whose recent comments have raised several questions.Recently released body camera footage shows the deputies and drug-sniffing dogs searching the team's luggage and personal belongings.

PHILADELPHIA - Parents and students at a Philadelphia school got quite the surprise after purchasing what they thought were faux roses from the school’s plant sale. Saint Anslem School in Northeast Philadelphia recently sent a letter home to parents alerting them that the roses that were sold were not in fact roses at all."It has come to our attention that the roses sold at our Mother’s Day plant sale were not the single faux flower originally intended," read the letter to parents. Instead, the school says the roses were a "Valentine’s Day gift intended for adults." Video shared with FOX 29 by one parent shows that what was inside the roses was actually a rolled up pair of underwear. AdvertisementThe school says administrators are looking into how the error occurred and are taking steps to prevent it from happening again.
