Piers Morgan
Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Way before we had Piers Morgan screaming on the telly was the much-loved GMTV. First broadcasting in January 1993, ITV's former weekday breakfast magazine show had the usual mix of hard news, sport, fun features, cookery and showbiz gossip.

Over the years it underwent a number of revamps and in 2000 was split into The Newshour and GMTV Today before going back to its original title in 2009.

It also spawned other great spin-offs such as weekend edition Sunday Best, political show The Sunday Programme, Entertainment Today and GMTV with Lorraine.

GMTV finally came to an end after 17 great years in September 2010, when ITV launched their ill-fated replacement Daybreak with new presenters.
