The much-anticipated film of hit musical Hamilton is almost ready to hit our screens. The hit Broadway show from creator Lin-Manuel Miranda tells the story of America's Founding Father Alexander Hamilton and uses hip-hop and R&B tunes to tell the story of America's first days as a nation.
The show also casts non-white actors in the roles of white historical figures. The film assembles footage from three different performances of the original 2016 Broadway run and stars the likes of Leslie Odom Jr., Daveed Diggs, Renée Elise Goldsberry, and Jonathan Groff.
Miranda himself plays Alexander Hamilton and the trailer footage of the hit stage show - which won countless awards and huge box office sales - suggests we are set to see one amazing show.
