Nicola Sturgeon is set to update Scotland on the current coronavirus situation as concerns over the new Omicron variant continue to grow.
The First Minister is expected to address the number of new Omicron variant cases identified throughout Scotland over the last 24 hours.
It comes after it was announced that nine new cases have now been found in Scotland, a rise of three since the previous day.
Health Secretary Humza Yousaf explained that there are now five cases in Lanarkshire, four in Greater Glasgow - up from the six across the two areas announced on Monday.
