coronavirus smartphone contact tracing app say they have been left confused after receiving messages about a 'possible Covid-19' exposure - which then disappear.

However the government say these are "default messages" linked to the app's operating system and that a separate message will always be sent if a person is required to self-isolate.A number of people who have downloaded the app, which launched last week, have reported receiving the alert, which reads:  "Possible Covid-19 exposure.
