Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced a 'tightening up' of face mask rules in shops and on public transport - as well as tough measures for all incoming travellers to the UK - to help combat the spread of the Omicron Covid-19 variant.
At a press conference this evening, the PM said anyone entering the UK will be required to take a PCR test by the end of the second day of their arrival - and must self-isolate until they have a negative result.
