PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Sunshine and warmer temperatures will follow in the wake of a rare spring nor'easter that brought showers and below-average conditions Tuesday.Expect the chance of a lingering shower to last until sunset Tuesday as an area of low pressure lifts to the far north to create wrap-around moisture during the evening.Temperatures will drop overnight into the 30s with mostly dry conditions.

Philadelphia and its suburbs will bottom out around 40 degrees, while areas north and west will skew slightly cooler. Sunshine will reemerge on Wednesday, but the temperatures will remain below average in the mid 50s to low 60s across the area.

Forecasters say Wednesday’s high of 61 degrees is about five degrees below-average for this time of year. The weather takes a turn on Friday as the temperature will stretch into the 70s, which will set the stage for a mild and mostly sunny weekend across the region.___WEDNESDAY: Sunny and nice.

(Polizia Roma Capitale via Storyful)Italian police were able to determine the car was a rental and managed to identify the driver as a 37-year-old man from Saudi Arabia. The driver was detained after he dropped off the rental car at Milan’s Malpensa Airport. The man had allegedly told authorities that he had gotten confused by his navigation system which led him to take the wrong turn onto the iconic staircase, according to local news media. A complaint has been filed against the man which includes aggravated damage to cultural and monumental assets, according to Italian police. The Spanish Steps were built at the beginning of the 18th century and connect the Piazza di Spagna (Square of Spain) to the Church of Trinità dei Monti. There are 135 steps that make up the staircase and are a popular tourist attraction.

COLOMBO (News 1st); President’s Counsel Mohan Weerakoon told the media on Tuesday (19) that Senior DIG Nilantha Jayawardena, who was the former head of State Intelligence, should be held responsible for failing to take necessary action with regard to the 2019 April Attacks, despite receiving information about the attacks beforehand.“The court records show that Nilantha Jayawardena in his evidence said that what he received on the 3rd of April from Indian Intelligence was just information and that it was NOT intelligence information,” said PC Weerakoon at the President’s Media Center.“He says that thereafter addressed letters to the Inspector General of Police, the Chief of National Intelligence, and others regarding this on the 7th of April, and on the 9th of April Chief of National Intelligence (CNI) Sisira Mendis had sent a letter to the IGP to take necessary action on the 9th of April,” said President’s Counsel Mohan Weerakoon.He said that the then-IGP (Pujith Jayasundara) has acted on the letter and notified all about the information.“During the cross-examination, Nilantha Jayawardena said that the information became intel material on the evening of 20th April 2019,” said the President’s Counsel adding that when questioned about it, Nilantha Jayawardena responded by saying that the person who sent the information on the 4th of April, sent another WhatsApp message to him on the 20th of April.The President’s Counsel said that when questioned Senior DIG Jayawardena on whether he made any attempt to verify the information between the 4th of April & the 20th of April, the latter had responded in the negative.He also went on to note that when he questioned SDIG Jayawardena as to why he did not divulge the information at
