PHILADELPHIA - The first official case of monkeypox has been reported in Pennsylvania, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released Thursday. The agency did not specify where in Pennsylvania the virus was detected, but Pennsylvania joins California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, New York, Utah, Virginia and Washington as the U.S.

NEW YORK - Michael Avenatti was sentenced Thursday to four years in prison for cheating client Stormy Daniels, the porn actor who catapulted him to fame, of hundreds of thousands of dollars in book proceeds.The California lawyer, currently incarcerated, learned his fate in Manhattan federal court, where Judge Jesse M. Furman said the sentence will mean that Avenatti will spend another 2 1/2 years in prison on top of the 2 1/2 years he is already serving after another fraud conviction.The judge said Avenatti's crime against Daniels was made "out of desperation" when his law firm was struggling.

BENSALEM, Pa. - A driver is in the hospital after being involved in a head-on crash with a fire truck in Bensalem, authorities say. The crash involved a Bensalem Township Engine 222 and the other vehicle, according to authorities. No firefighters were injured, but the driver of the other vehicle is in critical condition, per officials. Authorities say Bensalem police closed Street Road between Hulmeville and Knights Roads to investigate the crash. This is a developing story.

FREEHOLD, N.J. - A judge has imposed a 95-year prison sentence on a woman accused of arranging to have her girlfriend shot and later strangling her and burying her in the backyard of a New Jersey home.Monmouth County Superior Court Judge David Bauman sentenced 38-year-old Jennifer Sweeney on Friday.Authorities said 41-year-old Tyrita Julius was wounded in a shooting in November 2015.

PHILADELPHIA - Authorities are still searching for the driver who lead police on a lengthy pursuit Monday that started in Philadelphia and ended in Delaware County. Police say the chase started just before 9 p.m. near Torresdale Avenue when an officer saw an older model pickup truck with no back tire traveling in the wrong direction on a one-way road. Police say the driver took off when the officer tried to make a traffic stop and soon enough garnered the attention of surrounding officers.

PHOENIX - Police say 29 men were arrested in connection to an undercover operation targeting child sex crimes and human trafficking in Arizona."Operation April's Fools" resulted in the arrest of suspects soliciting various sex acts, the Phoenix Police Department said on May 10."We had detectives placing ads, posing as underage victims that you could come to solicit a sex act from," explained Phoenix Police Sgt. Andy Williams.

PHILADELPHIA - Pleasant spring conditions will stick around for the next two days before another round of rain washes over the area during the weekend. Forecasters expect temperatures to dip into the 40s and 50s across the region overnight Tuesday. PHILADELPHIA - Three people are dead after a car crashed into a SEPTA station in Philadelphia's Kensington neighborhood, authorities say. Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small says the crash happened around 2:45 a.m. when an officer on detail at Kensington Avenue and Allegheny Avenue saw a car traveling at a high rate of speed. The officer heard the vehicle first and believes it was "easily going 100 miles per hour," Small says. Authorities say the car jumped the curb and hit a turn-style, hit three pedestrians and then struck the Allegheny Avenue SEPTA station. Small says the crash was "really gruesome" as one of the victims was decapitated and their body was dismembered and burned due to a car fire that started after the crash. The body of another victim believed to be a female was severely mangled and crushed, according to police.

Alabama are preparing to begin the process of extraditing murder suspect and convicted felon Casey White back to Lauderdale County after he and the corrections officer who allegedly helped him escape jail were captured in Indiana on Monday. Lauderdale County Sheriff Rick Singleton tells Fox News Digital that they hope to get him back to Alabama in the next couple of days. "There's an extradition process, he obviously has the option to waive that," Singleton said.
