She was flown to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in critical condition. Elsewhere in New Jersey, the coast guard and local authorities pulled three people from the ocean off the coast of Wildwood and scoured the water for a man. Alana Mauger, a spokesperson for the Red Cross of Southeastern Pennsylvania, says that it's particularly important to take water safety measures around children."The reality is that it can happen so quickly," Mauger said.

WILDWOO - One person is missing and three people were recovered from the ocean Tuesday afternoon in Wildwood, according to officials. The Coast Guard said it's helping to scour the water near Andrew Avenue beach for the missing person, described as a Black man wearing a white tank top.Authorities are using boats and air crews to scan the water for the missing man. Officials have not said what caused the victims to need to be rescued. Advertisement

LOS ANGELES - Gas prices are so high that demand for fuel during peak driving season this summer is expected to slump, according to experts.According to data by the Energy Information Administration compiled by Bloomberg, demand for gas has hit its lowest level during this time since 2013, excluding the impacts of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Overall, high gas prices have brought demand down by 5%.Gas prices have been hitting fresh records for the past 11 consecutive days amid the energy supply crunch in the U.S., according to the American Automobile Association (AAA), which noted that the stretch of record-high prices as the pump is "unprecedented."Speaking with Fox News Digital, Andrew Gross, the national spokesman for AAA Inc. revealed that drivers should expect elevated prices throughout the summer, especially if the war in Ukraine rages on.The national average for a gallon of gas was $4.59 last week, a slight increase from the day before and a new record high.Thursday’s record was 16 cents higher than the week before, nearly 50 cents higher than the month before and $1.55 more compared to the same time last year.All 50 states had a national retail price over $4 a gallon on Thursday, according to AAA, with Oklahoma offering the cheapest gas at $4.03 a gallon and California offering the most expensive gas with an average of $6.06.

UVALDE, Texas - An 18-year-old gunman who killed 19 children and two teachers at a Texas elementary school allegedly messaged a woman with his plans on social media prior to carrying out the deadly attack. Officials identified Salvador Ramos as the shooter who opened fire in Robb Elementary in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday. The Texas Department of Public Safety said Ramos first shot his grandmother, who remains hospitalized in serious condition.

Authorities in New Jersey are investigating after a person was shot by police in Absecon on May 24. ABSECON, N.J. - A person was shot by police in Absecon on Tuesday, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. The shooting took place at the Dollar General located on the 700 block of New Road, authorities say. According to officials, the Major Crimes Unit with the Prosecutor's Office is on scene investigating. No additional information about the shooting was released. Authorities in New Jersey are investigating after a person was shot by police in Absecon on May 24.

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - Animal rescuers in Santa Cruz helped rescue a raccoon that was in an unusual situation.The Santa Cruz Animal Shelter said the animal chewed through the roof of a home on Monday in the Santa Cruz mountains and got stuck.The homeowner called wildlife emergency services, and since time was critical, they told them to push the raccoon back through the roof so it wouldn't suffocate.The advice worked.The shelter said the raccoon was able to run off and join her babies.AdvertisementNow, wildlife emergency services will help the homeowner set up a repellant barrier to "safely and humanely have mama and her kids move along to a more appropriate home," the shelter wrote on Facebook. 

ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. - A multiple-county police chase that started all the way from the San Diego area ended in a dramatic arrest in Orange County.SkyFOX was over the chase scene on the 5 Freeway in Orange County Monday night when the suspect, driving a white sedan, led the California Highway Patrol on a pursuit. The suspect was initially wanted for stealing the car in the Chula Vista area.The chase spanned from Chula Vista in San Diego County and went through parts of Santa Ana and Anaheim before the suspect eventually stopped the car near the Beach Boulevard Exit in Orange County.The suspect initially refused to get out of the car for more than five minutes after stopping the vehicle.

PHILADELPHIA -  Philadelphia police are investigating a shooting that injured three teens at Penn’s Landing.According to officials, police were called to the area near Chestnut Street and Columbus Boulevard, at the riverfront, Saturday, just after 9:30 p.m. on reports of multiple gunshots.When officers arrived, they found three teens suffering from gunshot wounds.A 14-year-old male was shot in the rib cage, officials said.
