Wayne Lineker has left Ibiza "beaten and battered" after months of coronavirus-induced misery that closed his nightclubs. Gary Lineker's brother jetted off the Spanish party island after being forced to close his venues there, and postpone the opening of an O Beach brand in Dubai.

As well as having to adhere to the Spanish government's Covid-19 restrictions, Wayne, 58, also had to deal with an outbreak of the bug at his beloved Lineker’s bar in Ibiza.

He has now closed all venues in his Lineker’s Group for the remainder of 2020, shuttering bars and clubs in mainland Spain, Tenerife and in Greece.

Wayne posted a heartbroken message on Instagram as he flew back to Britain, revealing his won't be back on his much-loved party island until 2021.
