MESA, Ariz. - A man who was allegedly found by police naked after baptizing himself in the fountain of a Mesa church has been arrested.According to court documents, officers on April 15 were called to the One Life Church, located near Gilbert Road and University Drive, after someone encountered a naked man in the baptism fountain. The man was told to leave the church, but instead, he grabbed a blanket and continued walking on the property.Officers found the suspect, identified as 20-year-old Jeremiah Sykes, who said he was baptizing himself naked in the fountain.Sykes was arrested.After he was taken to a holding facility to be booked into jail, Sykes allegedly threw a sock at a detention officer and punched him in the head.

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA - A 12-year-old boy and a 30-year-old man have been hospitalized after someone shot them in South Philadelphia.Officials say the shooting happened Thursday night, about 8:30, on the 2300 block of Tasker Street.17th District officers, responding to the call, found the boy with a gunshot wound to the butt.MORE HEADLINES:Police rushed him to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where he was placed in stable condition.The 30-year-old man sustained two gunshots to his leg. WILMINGTON, Del. - Travelers have plenty of new destination options when flying out of Wilmington International Airport in Delaware.Avelo Airlines announced nine new non-stop routes to destinations including Charleston, South Carolina, Nashville, Tennessee and spring break favorite Daytona Beach, Florida, all for inexpensive rates.The airline says the fares start at just $29.00.The airline went on to say a second Boeing 737 made the additional destinations possible, while adding new jobs in the area.The airline does say additional fees for carry-on and checked bags, assigned seats and other services may apply.The new non-stop routes begin in the summer.

PHILADELPHIA - Authorities in Philadelphia are investigating after a body was found in the back seat of a burning car early Tuesday morning. According to officials, police responded to a car fire in the area of Sylvester and Howell Streets in the Oxford Circle section of the city just before 1 a.m. Police say officers and medics arrived on scene to find a Honda CRV fully engulfed in flames. Once the fire department put out the flames, authorities say they realized there was a body in the back seat. The individual in the back seat was pronounced dead shortly after, according to Chief Inspector Scott Small, who says the body was burned beyond recognition. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESAuthorities say the inside of the vehicle was also completely burned and there is damage to the vehicle's exterior. According to police, the car was parked there just before 1 a.m. and two people got out before the vehicle went up in flames. The person's cause of death remains under investigation, Small says. This is a developing story.

PHILADELPHIA - A local mother is speaking out against a Philadelphia daycare after she says her 6-year-old son was left alone on a school bus and had to find his way back into the building. Terralyn Jackson told FOX 29 that her son, Zaadyn, was picked up from school on Friday for an after school program at the Rock Foundation Early Learning Academy in West Oak Lane. Zaadyn ended up falling asleep on the bus during transit and when the bus arrived at the daycare, he was left behind for approximately 15-17 minutes, Jackson said. Zaadyn said he was awoken by the unseasonably warm temperatures that climbed into the mid-80s on Friday, and he found his way off the bus and through the daycare's front gate. MORE LOCAL HEADLINES"If he did not know how to get through the gate, which the lock is very high, he would’ve been on Ogontz Avenue just randomly there," Jackson said.Jackson said a parent let Zaadyn in through the main entrance of the daycare. A staff member then drove Zaadyn in the person vehicle to get water ice, which the school claims was a soothing mechanism. "I’m a single parent trying to do what’s right and best for my child and I trusted someone to take care of my child while I’m at work doing the right thing,"Rock Foundation Early Learning Academy Director Carine Dorlus told FOX 29 that the whole incident was an accident and a mistake.
