Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has said he believes that a Covid-19 vaccine should be rolled out for free. However, he said that no Government decision has been made.
Minister Donnelly was speaking at the Oireachtas Committee on Health. He told politicians that it is not necessarily the case that the first vaccine approved will be the one that everybody gets.
Stephen Donnelly told Sinn Féin's David Cullinane that it was his understanding that different vaccines are better suited to different people, depending on their age and other factors.
Deputy Cullinane asked if GP, pharmacy and other administrative costs will be covered. Minister Donnelly said that while no decision has been made, he hopes that all costs will be covered,
