NEW DELHI : Uttar Pradesh government employees and teachers will not get six categories of allowances for a year.
Amid pressure on state finances during the coronavirus-induced lockdown, the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh had earlier deferred payment of six categories of allowances to its employees and teachers but has now scrapped them.
The government also scrapped some other allowances, including the one paid for promotion of e-governance in all the departments of the secretariat.
Other allowances scrapped include city compensatory allowance (CCA), secretariat allowance, special allowance given to CB-CID, anti-corruption organization, economic offences wing, vigilance establishment, security and special investigation wing,
