The number of new coronavirus deaths in the UK's hospitals has climbed by 370 today. NHS England said there were 306 further deaths in its hospitals.
Scotland recorded 36 fatalities, while Wales and Northern Ireland registered 20 and 10 respectively. The number of new infections in England will be announced by health authorities later today.
Yesterday it was announced that the death toll in all settings has risen by 376 - with a further 27,301 people testing positive for the virus in 24 hours.
The heartbreaking figure was released after the number of lives lost to the virus passed 50,000 this week, making the UK the fifth country to pass the grim milestone.
