Two women are due to appear in court after they were charged for having refused to go into mandatory quarantine on arrival at Dublin Airport yesterday from Dubai.
The women, both aged in their 30s, returned to Ireland yesterday after travelling to the United Arab Emirates for cosmetic surgery.
Dubai as part of the UAE is on a list of countries where returning travellers must quarantine at a designated hotel for 14 days after arrival in Ireland.
The two women refused to go into the mandatory hotel quarantine system when met by the Army at the airport. The gardaí were then called by the State Liaison Officer.
