Coronavirus cases are rising again across the UK - with three of England's biggest cities in the top 10 areas for new infections in the past week.
Data released by Public Health England shows a high number of new cases in Manchester, Leeds and Birmingham recorded in the week ending August 3 Manchester reported 183 new cases, Birmingham 144 and Leeds 129.
Birmingham and Leeds still have relatively low infection rates, because of the size of the cities. Several towns and cities experienced jumps in infection rate expressed as the number of new cases per 100,000 in the week up to August 3.
In Manchester, the rate shot-up from 28 to 33.1, Oldham saw an increase of 55.7 to 67.9, while Leeds' rose from 6.6 to 10.3 Swindon saw an increase from
