The latest NHS figures bring the region's hospital death toll to 5,913. Two more deaths were confirmed at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and one more was recorded at Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.

Eleven deaths were confirmed by other NHS hospitals across the country. The total number of coronavirus-related deaths at hospital trusts in Greater Manchester, as of Friday, May 28 are: Bolton NHS Foundation Trust - 651 Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust - 9 Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust - 1,189 (+2) NHS
