There 'might never be a silver bullet treatment' for the coronavirus pandemic, according to the World Health Organisation (WHO).
The Director General of the WHO told a media briefing on Monday that a number of vaccines are now in phase three of clinical trials.
Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said they hope we will have a number of effective vaccines that can help prevent people from infection.
But he said: "However, there's no silver bullet at the moment and there might never be." He said that for now, stopping outbreaks was down to basic public health measures to control the disease - including testing, isolating and treating patients.
