The trial of Manchester City footballer Benjamin Mendy has been adjourned again after a second juror has tested positive for Covid.
The hearing was scheduled to resume tomorrow (Tuesday) after one juror fell ill and tested positive on Wednesday of last week.
Today (Monday) it emerged that a second juror has also now tested positive. Judge Steven Everett, the Recorder of Chester, has decided the trial will resume on Monday, October 17.
Before today's development, the trial had been due to sit tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday but was not due to sit on Friday or the following week.
