Wigan continues to have the highest coronavirus infection rate in the region, according the latest Public Health England data.

In Greater Manchester as a whole, the infection rate is now 654.5 cases per 100,000 population. The infection rate in the region is higher than the national average, which is 544.0 cases per 100,000 people.
