The Chase star Paul Sinha throws support behind Rhod Gilbert after health update

The Chase star Paul Sinha has offered support to his fellow comedian Rhod Gilbert after the Welsh comic revealed he was receiving treatment for cancer.Rhod took to his Facebook page to confirm the news, though he hasn't revealed what type of cancer he is battling.He is currently fundraising for the Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff, where he is receiving treatment.READ MORE: Comedian Rhod Gilbert diagnosed with cancer and undergoing treatmentHundreds of comments from colleagues and fans poured in after the news broke, with Paul adding to them on social media.He tweeted: "All the best to Rhod Gilbert, a simply brilliant man."Both men have crossed paths on many occasions around the circuit.

Both have appeared on the likes of Taskmaster as well as performing at the famous Edinburgh Fringe festival.And Paul has been going through his own health battle after being diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in May 2019.

Rhod broke the news to his fans on Thursday evening.He wrote on Facebook: "As a proud patron of Velindre Cancer Centre, I’ve trekked the world, hosted chaotic quizzes and star-studded comedy nights."I’ve met and made friends with so many inspirational staff, patients and their families.

It has been a huge part of my life for the last ten years."So while I never imagined that I would be a patient here, I know better than anyone that I am in the best possible hands.
