A meeting has taken place between education stakeholders and the Department of Education to discuss the rollout of antigen testing for primary schools.
The talks were also attended by public health officials. The Irish National Teachers Organisation (INTO) said it was confirmed at the meeting that Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan had "asked for an urgent examination of antigen testing of close contacts in specific circumstances in primary schools in line with recently published ECDC guidance".
