VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. - A homeowner turned the tables against a suspected burglar in Ventura County.According to the Ventura County Sheriff's Office, a homeowner came home to at least two people trying to steal his stuff.

The homeowner saw one person running from the house ("Suspect 1") but the second suspect ("Suspect 2"), however, was not able to complete his illegal mission.Deputies described the incident between Suspect 2 and the homeowner as a "physical confrontation." However, judging by the mugshot of the suspect – later identified as Alexis Provoste – it appears the homeowner was able to hand Provoste a major beat down before deputies arrived at the house to arrest him.A suspected burglar suffered a beat down by a homeowner after the suspect was allegedly caught walking downstairs inside a Ventra County home. NORTH WILDWOOD, N.J. - The City of North Wildwood has terminated its contract with its waste removal company amid threats from the company saying they'd leave trash in the streets, city officials allege. According to a press release from the city, the contract with Gold Medal Environmental New Jersey, Inc. (GME) was terminated. The city says GME is a "subsidiary of the multibillion-dollar private equity firm Kinderhook Industries, headquartered in New York City." According to the city, GME's CEO showed up at the North Wildwood Public Works Building on March 8 insisting that the city pay GME two to three times the agreed upon contract amount or the company would "leave the trash in the streets." According to a legal document sent to GME's leaders, in an email sent on April 25, GME's CEO said: "My message hasn't changed: trash (or recycling or yard waste, etc) will start being left on the streets May 1 (whatever we cannot afford to pick up at current contract prices) if we are not back in good faith negotiations to address this emergency situation as other towns have already, and your offices will choose both where this starts and ends.

DOVER, Del. - Delaware State Police is investigating a fatal single motor-vehicle collision on I-495 on Saturday morning. According to police, at approximately 3:57 a.m., a 35-year-old Philadelphia man in a 2016 Mercedes Benz was traveling southbound on I-495 south of the Philadelphia Pike when it crossed over the partial left shoulder and struck the guardrail. Authorities say as a result of hitting the guardrail, the vehicle traveled southwest, crossed the three southbound travel lanes, rolled down a grass embankment and struck a concrete support and DELDOT pole. According to police, the car also overturned and came to rest on its roof in the area of East Holly Oak Road. Authorities say the driver, who has not yet been identified, was not properly restrained and was pronounced dead at the scene.
