Scottish Cup dream alive. understands the Perth Saints are incensed that four of Callum Davidson ’s first team squad have been ordered to self isolate by government officials, despite two of them tasting negative for coronavirus.
All four will now have to sit at home this weekend as Davidson and his depleted side head to the national stadium for a semi-final showdown with St Mirren on Sunday, as they close in on a historic cup double.
But this has astonished McDiarmid Park bosses who are adamant they have paid through the nose in order to keep their players safe and stick to all guidelines over social distancing. That includes hiring two team buses for last Saturday’s away trip to Easter Road to ensure Davidson’s players were properly kept.
