There has been slight reduction in the number people with Covid-19 in hospital. As of 8am, there were 449 patients with the virus being treated, down 8 on the same time yesterday.
It compares to 406 patients hospitalised with Covid on this day last week and 353 people two weeks ago. The latest data shows there were 90 Covid patients receiving treatment in intensive care units.
Yesterday, there were 2,466 new cases of Covid-19 notified to the Department of Health. This was the highest number of daily infections reported since 21 January, when 2,608 people were confirmed to have coronavirus.
