The Six Nations was plunged into chaos last night after Sunday’s game between France and Scotland was postponed due to the coronavirus.
Hours after the fixture was given the go-ahead, an 11th French player tested positive, forcing the whole squad to isolate. The initial hope was to reschedule for next weekend, when the tournament takes a break.
But the French players will still be isolating - and Scotland are reluctant to play as more than 10 of their team are contracted to return to club duty in England.
Scots boss Gregor Townsend said: "It remains our position that we want all our eligible players available so we can compete to the level we would have this weekend." Tournament chiefs are scrambling to find a solution but there is not
