(AP )MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - Shots were fired near the intersection of 38th Street and Chicago Avenue South in Minneapolis Tuesday morning, the same area where people are beginning to gather to mark the one-year anniversary of George Floyd's death.
Around 10:09 a.m., police responded to the 3800 block of Elliot Avenue South on a report of the sound of shots fired, according to Minneapolis Police Department spokesperson John Elder.
National and local media in the area covering the one-year anniversary of Floyd’s death also heard the shots and took cover.
