OTTAWA -- Ottawa Public Health is reporting 81 new cases of COVID-19 in Ottawa on Thursday, the seventh straight day with fewer than 100 cases of novel coronavirus in the capital.
No new deaths linked to the virus were announced in Ottawa. Since the first case of COVID-19 on March 11, there have been 13,153 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ottawa, including 420 deaths.
The 81 new cases of COVID-19 in Ottawa on Thursday follows 72 new cases on Wednesday and 23 cases on Tuesday. Across Ontario, there are 2,093 new cases of novel coronavirus.
Public Health Ontario reported 700 new cases in Toronto, 331 in Peel Region, 228 in York Region and 123 in the Niagara region.
