Coronavirus infection rates are continuing to plummet in all ten Greater Manchester boroughs, as seven now report infection of numbers of less than 1,000 per 100,000 people.

Tameside continues to have the highest coronavirus infection rate in Greater Manchester, with 1076.5 cases per 100,000 people as of week ending January 16. In Greater Manchester as a whole, the infection rate is now 940.5 cases per 100,000 population. The infection rate in the region is lower than the national average, which is 971.1 cases per 100,000 people.
