The man arrested in the shooting of 10 people on a Brooklyn subway has been charged with a federal terrorism offense.

DARBY, Pa. - An employee of St. Francis Country House is facing charges after they were accused of assaulting an elderly resident earlier this week. On Monday at around 5 p.m., Darby Borough police say they were dispatched to the nursing home on Lansdowne Ave. Upon arrival, officers say they met with an employee of the nursing home who told them that a nurse witnessed a nursing assistant, later identified as Ednise Dulcio, strike a resident. Police say the incident was caught on video, and that Dulcio can be seen striking a 92-year-old resident with an open hand while the resident was sitting in their wheelchair. After speaking with the witness, police say they learned that Dulcio struck the resident prior to the incident that was captured on video. Authorities say Dulcio was arrested in her home on Tuesday around 3:30 p.m.

QUINTANA BEACH, Texas - Officials say a dolphin on a Texas beach passed away after she was stranded alive over the weekend and reportedly "harassed by a crowd of people." Texas Marine Mammal Stranding Network (TMMSN) shared shocking photos on Facebook, saying a dolphin on Quintana Beach, Texas located in Brazoria County, was "pushed back to sea, where beachgoers tried to swim with and ride the sick animal."We're told the dolphin was ultimately stranded and "further harassed by a crowd of people on the beach, where she later died before rescuers could arrive on scene." Officials warned, that as a result, any interactions with dolphins (other than a professional) can only cause more stress on the mammal, but is also illegal. "This type of harassment causes undue stress to wild dolphins, is dangerous for the people who interact with them, and is illegal - punishable by fines and jail time if convicted," TMMSN said in their Facebook post. PHILADELPHIA - It’s not uncommon to hear about cash thefts at gas stations, but one gas station owner says they are dealing with candy thieves—and it’s getting out of control.Early Tuesday morning, just before 3:45 AM, surveillance cameras at PnP Gas on East Hunting Park Avenue say their surveillance cameras captured two people loading up bags of their candy.The store owner says when the pair tried to leave without paying for it, and realized an employee locked them in, they broke the door to escape."It’s very, very frustrating," store manager James Gill said.Philadelphia police are investigating a series of candy thefts at gas stations. Store employees believe one man is consistently behind the crimes and others will help.

Rising COVID-19 activity in a few Northeastern states appears to be driving a slight increase in national cases, according to the latest data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

HARRISBURG, Pa. - A Pennsylvania couple has been charged with the theft and burglary of more than 250 vehicles, according to Attorney General Josh Shapiro. On Tuesday, authorities identified the couple as Keith Johnson and Jessica Fletcher of Yardley. Police say an investigation began after a series of unsolved car break-ins occurred in Bucks County over several months. The couple's crime spree spread across many counties in southeastern Pennsylvania, including Montgomery County and Philadelphia. Investigators say they also discovered that Johnson and Fletcher stole $150,000 in cash from a Philadelphia home on Christmas night in 2019.

Delaware State Police arrest 50-year-old Richard Cook for his 8th DUI offense.  GEORGETOWN, Del. - Delaware State Police arrested a man and charged him with his eighth DUI offense after a crash on Monday. On April 11, just before 3:00 p.m., state troopers responded to an accident in Georgetown, Del. Police say when they arrived to the scene, they found a black Nissan Quest, which had overturned onto its side in a wooded area near Dupont Boulevard. Police say Richard Cook, 50, was behind the wheel and two passengers, a 49-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man, both sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Bayhealth Sussex Hospital. Police conducted a DUI investigation and took Cook in to custody at the scene. After searching Cook's vehicle, police say they found 2.04 grams of marijuana, suspected liquid heroin, drug paraphernalia, 2 fixed-knife blades, and a firearm. Authorities learned that Cook's driver's license was suspended, and he had been convicted for seven prior DUI offenses. He was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Drugs, Carrying a Concealed Firearm, and other related offenses. Cook was committed on a $39,501 cash bond.

PHILADELPHIA - A man is in critical condition after police say he was shot multiple times in North Philadelphia Tuesday morning. The shooting occurred on the 1900 block of North 9th Street, near Tempe University’s campus and a SEPTA train station, around 11:30 a.m. Police say a 21-year-old man was shot eight times throughout the body and was hit in the abdomen, chest and legs.
