Scottish Government confirms three deaths and 192 new Covid cases in Tayside

The Scottish Government has confirmed three coronavirus deaths were reported in Tayside in the last 24 hours. The area's death toll - composed of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days - rises to 819.

Data from Public Health Scotland also shows that 192 new cases were recorded overnight in the region. In total, Tayside has recorded 77,923 cases of Covid-19 since the pandemic began.
