Scottish Government confirms one death and 79 new cases of Covid-19 in Dundee

The Scottish Government has confirmed there was one coronavirus death reported in Dundee in the last 24 hours. Data from Public Health Scotland also shows that 79 new cases were recorded overnight in the city.

The city's death toll - composed of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days - now sits at 294.

In total, Dundee has recorded 21,005 cases of Covid-19 since the pandemic began. The latest local vaccination data shows that 85.8% of the over-16 population have received at least one coronavirus vaccination, and 78.9% have received at least two.Around 49.4% of city children aged 12 to 15 have also received at least one Covid jab.
