Scottish Government has confirmed that no people have died from coronavirus in the last 24 hours. The latest figures for Scotland also showed that 1,237 new cases had been identified overnight.It means the death toll since last March – of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days – remains the same at 7,848.There are currently 480 people in hospital confirmed to have the virus with 64 being treated in intensive care.The total number of positive cases since the pandemic started stands at 337,471.To date 3,997,105 people have received their first vaccination with 3,079,492 having a second jab.The figures come as Health Secretary Sajid Javid has been slammed for saying the public should not “cower” from.
