Scottish Government announces 2 deaths and 1,747 covid cases in last 24 hours

Scottish Government has reported that 2 people have died from coronavirus and that 1,747 new cases had been identified overnight.

It brings the death toll since last March – of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days – to 7,708.

10,150 deaths have been registered in Scotland where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate up to 20 June. There are currently 188 people in hospital confirmed to have the virus with 16 being treated in intensive care.
