Scots teen's Long Covid has left her with hair falling out, chronic pain and 'virus toes'

Covid in December 2020, as did her mum Kirsty, 42, dad Ross, 43, and brothers Calum, 16, and Finlay, 11. While the rest of the family got better, Morgan’s health deteriorated and she began getting skin rashes, joint and muscle pain, dizziness, fatigue, insomnia, headaches and brain fog.

She lost hair and started suffering heart palpitations and severe abdominal pain, which led to her being hospitalised twice.

Kirsty, of Currie, near Edinburgh, said: “The first time she was in for a couple of days with chronic stomach pain but, after blood tests and scans, we were sent home."We ended up back in hospital a few days later as the pain was worse.“Morgan was admitted to hospital again recently where she was treated for a suspected heart.
