A serving police officer is being investigated over a £5000 Covid support grant for his second job as an Elvis impersonator.
The Sunday Mail revealed last week that Stuart Maclennan applied for the subsidy despite rules stating applicants would be ineligible if they had another full-time job or income.Scottish Enterprise confirmed they are reviewing the award and are asking Maclennan for additional information.
If he is found to be ineligible for the cash, he would be ordered to pay it back.A spokeswoman said: “Following allegations made in a Sunday Mail article, we are re-examining the applicant’s Scottish Wedding Industry Fund application.
