Scots Covid vaccine trial volunteers needed as scientists produce latest jab

coronavirus vaccine which is being developed right on our front doorstep. Boffins behind the Valneva jab, which is being produced in Livingston, West Lothian, are seeking 4,000 volunteers to participate in clinical trials.

The study will take place across a number of sites in the UK - with trials taking place at hospitals in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Researchers are looking for healthy adults who are yet to receive any doses of the vaccine against Covid-19.People taking part in the vaccine trial will be given their vaccination from the first week of May.The Valneva jab is the only inactivated, adjuvanted (an ingredient to create a stronger immune response) Covid-19 vaccine in clinical development in Europe.
