Ruth Langsford, 60, shared on Instagram that someone has set up a fake Facebook profile entitled “Ruth Langsford fan_page” and had been messaging followers to offer them internet currency, also known as Bitcoin.

The This Morning host warned that the catfish had nothing to do with her and she “definitely” is not involved.Ruth shared two screenshots of the fake account that has used photographs from her personal Instagram account to hoodwink fans.The presenter typed: “Please do not follow this Ruth Langsford_ fan page.“It has NOTHING to do with me and I definitely have NOTHING to do with Bitcoins. “Please delete it if you are following.Thank you,” she added.Underneath fans shared their disappointment towards the fake page, as they said that.
