Richard Madeley is delivering free meals to the Alzheimer’s Society amid the coronavirus pandemic. The 63-year-old has been personally affected by dementia as his mother Mary battled the syndrome before her death in 2014 aged 82.
And on Thursday, the presenter helped deliver 300 meals donated by The Ivy to people with dementia during lockdown. He’s backing an emergency appeal by the Alzheimer’s Society to raise funds to increase telephone support to those in need during the coronavirus crisis.
