Sacramento Fire Department made a startling discovery after responding to an abandoned homeless debris fire underneath a bridge on April 12 – a tiny puppy.

The poor critter even had some melted plastic on his head and back just before he was taken to safety, according to video shared by the fire department.

After a bath and food, the puppy started to perk up and show his personality at the fire station. Now, he’s a tail-wagging, face-licking pup enjoying his time with his foster family.

Firefighter Mike Hawley volunteered to foster the puppy until the Front Street Animal Shelter finds him a "fur-ever" home. It was not immediately known how the puppy ended up abandoned under the bridge.

Dominican Republic after more than 200 packages of presumed cocaine were seized on an aircraft at Punta Cana International Airport, officials say.In a press release dated April 6, the country’s National Directorate for Drug Control (DNCD) said the aircraft was set to fly from Punta Cana to Toronto.The DNCD said authorities began a “rigorous check” and allegedly found “eight black packages” in the aircraft.“Each containing 25 packages, for a total of 200,” the release reads. NEW YORK - Leniz Escobar, who went by the same ‘Diablita’ or ‘little devil’ on social media, was found guilty on all counts Monday for luring a group of young men to a wooded area in Central Islip in 2017 where they were beaten and hacked to death with machetes, knives, and tree limbs by more than a dozen members of the MS-13 gang.Escobar had told the group they were meeting to smoke marijuana, according to federal prosecutors.  She was also found guilty of obstructing the investigation into the murders by destroying evidence, warning people to flee, and lying to police. Alexander Ruiz, the only one who managed to escape by running for his life, told the jury that members of MS-13 covered their faces with sweatshirts and ordered them to get down on the ground, threatening to kill anyone who moved. Prosecutors said the motive for the attack was payback because the victims had disrespected the vicious gang on social media and allegedly were members of the rival 18th Street gang.

RIPON, Calif. - Two women who were reported missing over the weekend were found dead Tuesday inside a car submerged in the Stanislaus River.The two women, Alyssa Ros, 23, of Long Beach and Xylona Gama, 22, of Stockton, were last seen at a wedding Sunday night at Spring Creek Country Club. According to the Ripon Police Department, a country club employee noticed a car submerged in the river, near the southeastern part of the golf course.
