COLOMBO (News 1st); The strike launched by a group of Railway workers was called off on Monday (13) afternoon.A group of Railway Drivers had launched a trade union action citing that an officer at Sri Lanka Railways had instituted disciplinary action against a group of fellow railway workers.The General Manager of Railways said that the strike was called off following a discussion.Indika Dodangoda – Convener of the Union Federation to Uplift Sri Lanka Railways – told News 1st that the strike was called off following a reasonable solution being provided to the issue.
